Bye Bye Birdie is the musical chosen by our directors to be presented April 12-15, 2012, in the Notre Dame Cafetorium at 7:00PM each evening. Tickets go on sale to the general public in March. All Seats are $10.00.
Conrad Birdie, an Elvis Presley-inspired rock str creates near-riots in a small Midwestern town when he stops for on last publicity junket before being drafted into the army. Birdie's down-on-his-luck agent, Albert Peterson, worries about his future as a songwriter. In order to financially stabilize his career, Albert is conveinced by his secretary Rosie to write a farewell song for Birdie to sing to a specially selected fan on The Ed Sullivan Show. The lucky fan is Kim McAfee of Sweet Apple, Ohio. When Birdie arrives in this little town, the population goes crazy and the ensuing madness creates a memorable and captivating finale. Put on a Happy Face, One Boy, A Lot of Livin to Do, and Kids are a few of the songs in this classic musical.

Senior Taylor Palmer, alum Christine Stokes, and alum Megan Glastetter are working with cast and crew of VIP and SHINE's production of The Wizard of Oz. Production is at the Cape Girardeau Junior High Auditorium on September 10 at 3:00.
